Woorabinda

Since July 2007 we have made regular trips to Woorabinda Aboriginal Community in central Queensland, Australia every 6-8 weeks and plan to continue building relationships and sending teams as long as there is an open door of opportunity. Our desire is to encourage, resource and serve the local community.

Through relationship building with key members and elders of this indigenous community located in central Queensland we have assisted in setting up a second hand clothing shop in town, conducted after school children’s activities, had opportunity to broadcast radio programs through the local radio station, served meals to the community, held a pamper morning for local women, provided cooking, R.E Lessons in the local school, cultural and pottery workshops in Wadja Wadja High School, and assisted with repairs and other service opportunities.

 Our heart is to love and serve the people as needed, under the guidance of local community members.
